I want to make a note about 2 ACS rules that I have seen recently broken.
The first is concession of a game. You can lose a game by verbal or non-verbal actions that lead your opponent to believe you are awarding them the game. (Rule 1.43 Concession of Game). Examples include breaking down your cuestick or saying “good game” before the game is over.
The second rule infraction is placing your hand in a pocket while any ball in play is moving. I have seen multiple people place a hand in the pocket when the cue looks like it may fall. This is a foul. (Rule 1.40 (e) & (f) Deliberate Foul)
