Last night of regular season play
It is hard to believe that Monday, March 19th is our last night of regular season play. March 26th Position Night will be our last night of regular season play. It is crazy how fast time goes. I have to tell each of the captains, “THANK YOU”!!! This has been one of the best, if not the best, seasons ever! We’ve had a lot of great competition and fun. How competitive? We have nine (9) teams that mathematically can come in 3rd and/or 4th place. We’ve held some great tournaments this season including the Turkey Shoot, Holiday Tournament, and more. Our 10-ball break and run pot has been fun and frustrating at the same time. There are still two nights left for someone to crack that pot. We owe the success of our league to our Captains and players! Let’s build on this year and make season even better!
Captain Appreciation Tournament & End of Season Tournament
Our captain appreciation tournament and end of season captain’s meeting will be held at 7pm on April 2nd at the Entersection Bar & Grill. We really want all captains to show up to hear our end of season financial update and to compete in the tournament.
2017-18 Monday Night ACS 8-Ball League Banquet (Saturday, April 21) – Eagles Club #4424
Please tell all your players to reserve April 21st. We will hold our banquet on that Saturday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles – SaraMana Aerie #4424. There will be a pool tournament, food, awards presentation, and prizes! A flyer will be created and distributed to captains and players. Captains – Please remember to assist your officers with getting prizes to give out at our banquet. Anything is welcomed.
2018 ACS Florida State Championships – July 26th – 29th – Sarasota, FL
I cannot stress enough for captains to let players know about this tournament. Please help us get the word out to all the players. Download the flyer. Let us know if you have any questions.
2018 West Coast Challenge – April 5-8 – Orlando, FL
The West Coast Challenge will be held April 5-8 at the Park Inn by Radisson in Orlando. Players can get more information and register at http://www.vneamvp.com/wccsignup
Floating Subs are available for Monday Night League!
We highly encourage captains to utilize our floating subs. Teams must pay their $10 match fee for the night, but do not need to split their end of year team winnings with them. That is much better than taking a player forfeit and possible losing valuable round points.
The floating subs are:
Margarita Makeeva – Starting handicap is an 8
Chris Slidell – Starting handicap is a 7
Mike Sambstrum – Starting handicap is a 7.5
Kelvin Yow – Starting handicap is 7.5
Lisa Baldwin – Starting handicap is 6.5
Identify Team MVP & Captain Vote will be sent via Email
Captains you need to think about who you want as your Team MVP. The default is the player on your team with the highest ball count. So, that is who it will be if you don’t select someone. With that said, we will be sending you an email that you will need to respond. Your response should include:
• Your Team MVP

• Vote for Best Location
• Vote for Most Fun Team
• Vote for Most Hospitable Team
• Approximate head count of for people from your team attending our Banquet.
10-Ball Break and Run Progressive Pot – $3884 or $388 per legally pocketed ball
Week 25 Player – Steve Breymeier – PrimeTime
Please note we had a $48 discrepancy in monies collected. Our officers were counting envelopes, money, and tickets a little too quick and there was confusion as to who did not pay. Just know that there were three envelopes with the wrong amount of money in them. We resolved all three, but still had a discrepancy. We apologize in advance for the error.
Oscar Mora – Circle Something practiced the 10-ball break and run for a few hours. Let me tell you, he was making balls and putting together some great runs. Nothing went in on the break when it came down to the money break. Therefore, the pot carries. Captains: please promote the 10-Ball Break and Run progressive pot. Please note: All attempts at the 10-Ball Break and run will be done on Monday Night league nights only. This includes position rounds.
Please note: We are out of white tickets, but have left over yellow tickets. The captains approved the league using these tickets. Therefore, tickets in the drawing may be white or yellow.
