John Megge – Celebration of Life
Rendezvous Lounge
Saturday, March 10th
We lost one of our local billiards ambassadors last week. John Megge was a student of the game and loved sharing it with others through conversations and the many tournaments he ran. Please join John’s family and friends at the Rendezvous Lounge to celebrate his life.
• Noon – Pool Tournament Registration $15 entry
• 1pm – Pool Tournament Starts – Single game – Double Elimination – 8-Ball on the Winners side and 9-ball on the losers side.
• 3pm Pot Luck – The Rendezvous Lounge is donating the main meat for the feast. A covered dish is greatly appreciated.
• We’ll have a microphone for people to share their favorite memory of John and for karaoke for those who want to honor him with a song.
• There will be raffles, 50/50’s. All proceeds will go to John’s family to help cover expenses with John’s next journey.

2018 West Coast Challenge – April 5-8 – Orlando, FL
The West Coast Challenge will be held April 5-8 at the Park Inn by Radisson in Orlando. Players can get more information and register at http://www.vneamvp.com/wccsignup
Floating Subs are available for Monday Night League!
We highly encourage captains to utilize our floating subs. Teams must pay their $10 match fee for the night, but do not need to split their end of year team winnings with them. That is much better than taking a player forfeit and possible losing valuable round points.
The floating subs are:
Margarita Makeeva – Starting handicap is an 8
Chris Slidell – Starting handicap is a 7
Mike Sambstrum – Starting handicap is a 7.5
Kelvin Yow – Starting handicap is 7.5
Lisa Baldwin – Starting handicap is 6.5
10-Ball Break and Run Progressive Pot – $3544 or $354 per legally pocketed ball
Week 23 Player – Billy Friedman – Hard 8
Mike Koch – Dead Shots had a strong break. Both the 2-ball and 6-ball were flying towards the corner pocket. There was no doubt they were going to go in the pocket. Unfortunately, the cue ball jumped in front of them and it was pocketed. Therefore, the pot carries. Right now it has hit over $3500!!! Captains: please promote the 10-Ball Break and Run progressive pot. Please note: All attempts at the 10-Ball Break and run will be done on Monday Night league nights only. This includes position rounds.
Please note: We are out of white tickets, but have left over yellow tickets. The captains approved the league using these tickets. Therefore, tickets in the drawing may be white or yellow.
