First, I have to apologize to Slow Rollers. I forgot my camera this past Monday and was not able to get any pictures of the pool players. I promise to get pictures of Slow Rollers in the future!

Mid-season Captain’s Meeting – 7pm on Tuesday, January 30th at the Eagles Club
We are scheduling a mandatory captains meeting on Tuesday, January 30th. Captains – Please send a team representative if you cannot make the meeting. All teams need to be present. We will discuss mid-season financials, discuss sanctioning, and discuss upcoming tournaments.

Floating Subs are available for Monday Night League!
We highly encourage captains to utilize our floating subs. Teams must pay their $10 match fee for the night, but do not need to split their end of year team winnings with them. That is much better than taking a player forfeit and possible losing valuable round points.

Chris Slidell – Starting handicap is a 7 – 941-376-0373

Scoring Player Forfeits and Determining Ball Spot
First, we have four floating subs that any team can use! The team that uses the sub is responsible for paying their $10 match fee. Please use our floating subs. We shouldn’t have any player forfeits this season! The floating subs are:

Margarita Makeeva – Starting handicap is an 8
Chris Slidell – Starting handicap is a 7
Mike Sambstrum – Starting handicap is a 7.5
Kelvin Yow – Starting handicap is 7.5

Now, how do we score a player forfeit. Any team with only 3 or 4 players available for the match will receive zero points for the missing player/s forfeited games.

  • On the score sheet, a player named “FORFEIT” that has a zero average will be scored in the first spot (Home #1 or Visitor #6). In the event of two missing players, a second player named “FORFEIT” that has a zero average will be scored in the second spot. (Home #2 or Visitor #7).
  • The opponent team’s lowest player average is not used in calculating the team handicap points.
  • The opponents that are scheduled to play “FORFEIT” will receive their average as the score for that game.
  • I attached a sample scoresheet for captains to review. See “Forfeit Player Exhibit”  Click here to download the sample scoresheet.
